This page explains how DELE Prep Academy handles your information and the terms that apply when you use the platform. It reflects the services the application actually uses.

What we collect and why.
Account and authentication data (your name, email and role): to create and manage your account and to authenticate you. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for.
Learning and progress data (your CEFR level, skill scores, study streaks, XP, sessions, vocabulary progress, flashcards, custom vocabulary topics and mock exam results): to provide and personalise your learning. Legal basis: providing the service.
Content you submit (written answers, transcribed spoken answers, and exercise answers): to evaluate your work and give feedback. Legal basis: providing the service.
AI interaction data: when you use AI-supported labs, the text and answers you submit may be sent to AI services to generate exercises, feedback and speech. Legal basis: providing the service, with your consent where required.
Technical data (such as IP address and browser/device type): for security and to operate the platform. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and working.
Retention. Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time; we will then delete or anonymise your data, subject to any legal obligations.
Recipients. Your data is processed by Base44 (the platform provider — see below), AI providers accessed through Base44, Google Fonts, and your browser/device speech services. Social links take you to third-party platforms.
International transfers. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where relevant, transfers rely on safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses.
Security. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by platform-managed access controls. No system is fully secure, but we work with our providers to protect your information.
Your rights. You can access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also complain to your local data-protection supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email us at Contact our team.
